What's a Podcast?
A podcast is an audio file (usually an MP3) which is dowloaded from the internet and copied onto a personal MP3 player such as an iPod. What makes a podcast special is an extra bit of information which tells your computer that there's a new audio programme ready to download. Each podcast feed can be thought of as magazine subscription but instead of the latest edition landing on your doormat, it appears in your mp3 player automatically. Best of all our podcasts are completely free!
In order to receive the podcasts you'll need what's called "pod catcher" software. The most popular of these is iTunes, which is used to manage iPods. Other software is available such as Juice
